In late 2020, Dr. Vo Anh Khue researched, designed, and manufactured a compost bin for organic waste. The results established a general principle for natural aerobic composting in a sealed container with upward airflow. Based on this principle, Dr. Khue designed and manufactured a compost bin, contributing to the sorting and reduction of organic waste at the source.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Binh Ngoc commune (Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province), said: "Since these waste treatment bins were installed, a large amount of household waste has been disposed of locally, and households have used the resulting organic fertilizer to fertilize vegetables and crops. In particular, the bins do not leak water or emit foul odors, so they do not affect the environment."

Subsequently, Dr. Vo Anh Khue researched a process to improve the quality of biological detergents (biological dishwashing liquid) produced from plant waste.

In addition, Dr. Vo Anh Khue has also researched many topics related to waste and environmental protection, such as: a multi-functional filtration and stirring device to support the production of biological detergents from fruit peels; utilizing and reprocessing plant waste after fermentation into biological waste treatment products…

When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Dr. Vo Anh Khue successfully researched and developed a device to produce Anolyte solution, which helps create a disinfectant product to prevent Covid-19.

"I'm preparing to launch a research project on chemical-free water treatment to provide clean water for areas without piped water, especially remote areas, ethnic minority regions, coastal areas, and areas that frequently experience water shortages...", Dr. Khue revealed.
