Continue to boost investment attraction.

Recognizing that attracting investment plays a crucial role in economic transformation and growth, Bac Lieu has focused on doing this well and has achieved encouraging results.

To date, the province has attracted 209 investment projects (including 191 domestic projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 66,318 billion and 18 foreign projects with a total registered investment capital of USD 4.7 billion). At the same time, Bac Lieu is continuing to effectively attract investment and is accelerating the implementation of Government Resolution 02 on key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness by 2025.

One of the areas Bac Lieu is focusing on attracting investment and aligning with the goal of transforming its economic structure towards green and sustainable growth is the development of renewable energy. Currently, the province has 8 operational wind power projects with a total capacity of over 469 MW. This is an important foundation for Bac Lieu to become one of the nation's clean energy centers. This is also the province's goal for the future, as outlined in the Resolution of the 16th Congress of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Building on these achievements, the province will continue to promote improvements in the investment and business environment, simplify and shorten the time for resolving administrative procedures, create favorable conditions for businesses and investors, and improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranking. It will create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of the private economy; connect provincial businesses with foreign businesses; facilitate private enterprises in linking and producing supporting industries, especially in the agricultural, food and renewable energy chains; pay attention to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in starting up and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles in production and business. Emphasis will be placed on developing the collective economy; focusing on building a number of cooperatives linked to agricultural production in value chains of key commodities, meeting market demands…
