This morning (March 15), domestic gold prices, especially ring gold, continued to skyrocket, reaching a new record - 97 million VND/tael.

Continuing the upward trend of gold prices, this morning, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price of gold rings at 95 - 96.6 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 2.1 million VND/tael for buying and 2.1 million VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday morning.

Other gold trading enterprises also adjusted the price of gold rings to increase accordingly. Specifically, Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of gold rings at 95 - 96.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling; Doji Group listed the price of gold rings at 94.3 - 96.3 million VND/tael.

In just 3 days, the price of gold rings increased by nearly 4 million VND/tael. Since the beginning of the year, the price of gold rings has increased by about 12 million VND/tael.

The price of SJC gold bars is also on a strong upward trend. Specifically, Saigon Jewelry Group listed the price of SJC gold bars at 94.3 - 95.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 1.2 million VND in both directions compared to yesterday morning.

Other gold trading enterprises such as Bao Tin Minh Chau, Phu Quy... also simultaneously increased the price of SJC gold bars to 95.8 million VND/tael.

At some gold shops in Cau Giay area ( Hanoi ), many people today came to line up early to buy gold. As a person who came to buy gold very early, Ms. Pham Minh Huong (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi ) said that the price of gold has increased too much in the past two days, because yesterday she still had to go to work so she couldn't go buy, today is a day off so she came to line up early.

“Investing in gold is also a very good way to make a profit, so I have saved all my money to buy gold. The price of gold will continue to increase strongly, I predict it can even reach 100 million VND/tael” - Ms. Huong shared.

An employee at a famous gold and silver store said: “The price of gold is high, but there are still many people coming to buy gold. Gold rings are the most popular item.”

World gold price approaches 3,000 USD/ounce threshold

The world gold price at the same time on the morning of March 15 was listed at 2,984 USD/ounce, up 46 USD/ounce compared to yesterday morning. Analysts said that the gold price still has a strong upward trend. Gold will also benefit from concerns about the possibility of a US economic recession.

Markets are flocking to gold as a hedge against speculation that trade tensions could get worse before easing, said Yeap Jun Rong, market strategist at IG.

Mr. Rong predicts that gold prices could reach $3,000/ounce in the second quarter of 2025, when reciprocal tariffs could cause another wave of market turmoil.
