Gold price today 7-9: SJC gold bars on the free market decreased sharply

(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars purchased by some small gold shops is only 136 million VND/tael, after the direction of the Prime Minister.

This morning, September 7, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by large enterprises at 133.9 million VND/tael for buying and 135.4 million VND/tael for selling, nearly 5 million VND/tael higher than last weekend.

In the same trend, the price of 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold is also listed at around 127.7 million VND/tael for buying and 130.2 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of more than 5 million VND compared to the end of last week. The difference between SJC gold bars and gold rings has widened to over 5 million VND/tael.

In the free market, gold prices have had some unexpected developments this morning. Some small gold shops in Ho Chi Minh City listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at 136 million VND/tael and selling price at 140 million VND/tael, a loss of 4.5 million VND in just 1 day. Gold bar prices have plummeted in the free market, with the buying price dropping rapidly and now being 4 million VND higher than the selling price.

World gold prices are expected to increase

In the international market, the price of gold closed the week at 3,587 USD/ounce, a sharp increase of 139 USD compared to the previous week (equivalent to an increase of 4.4 million VND). The world gold price also reached its highest level ever, affecting the increase in domestic gold prices.

Forecasting gold prices next week, Kitco's survey shows that both analysts and investors predict gold prices to increase. Specifically, in the survey on Wall Street, 18 analysts participated in the response, of which 78% said that gold prices will continue to increase; 17% said that gold prices will decrease and the remaining 5% predicted that gold prices will remain stable.

Similarly, in an online survey on Main Street, 219 investors responded, of which 73% said gold prices would continue to rise, 15% predicted gold prices would fall and the remaining 12% said gold prices would remain flat.

SJC gold bar price has been continuously increasing in recent days.
