The appearance of 12-year-old contestant Trinh Anh Kiet from Hanoi, with his debut performance of a song arranged with flutes, attracted the attention of the audience and all three judges, especially MC Dai Nghia. My father was a very good flute player, and I listened to him play from a young age, just like you… My father also taught me how to play the flute, but I… couldn’t. Those who learn to play the flute have a way of controlling and holding their breath so that the sound is very even. When I listened to you play, even with very long phrases, the amount of breath released was just right, so the sound was even, not varying in volume or trembling.”

The male MC commented that Anh Kiet still has some minor mistakes, but for a young boy who has only been learning for over a year, being able to play like that is very good.

In the second challenge, Anh Kiet "competed" musically with two guitarists, Cuong Nguy and Dat Le. Each played a piece of music on their instrument, and the other performed the song. Anh Kiet's flute playing was also perfectly suited to this challenge.
