At 10:15 a.m. on October 2, the first body of the victim in the landslide in Lung Cu commune, Ha Giang province was found.

Previously, at around 6:30 a.m. on September 30, a hill several dozen meters high from behind the residential area of ​​Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune collapsed, burying 6 houses and burying 4 victims.

Upon receiving the news, the police force quickly arrived at the scene to deal with the consequences of the landslide. Although it was raining heavily, the amount of rocks and soil continued to fall, the terrain was steep, the ground was loose and slippery, and there was a high risk of flash floods and landslides, but the officers and soldiers of the Tuyen Quang police force overcame all difficulties and dangers, and quickly deployed plans to search for the missing people.
