The contest aims to continue to promote the implementation of Decision No. 2074/QD-TTg dated December 10, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the Plan to implement Directive No. 06-CT/TW dated June 24, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in family building in the new situation; Decision No. 2238/QD-TTg dated December 30, 2021 approving the Vietnam Family Development Strategy to 2030. At the same time, it is a practical activity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) - a significant and meaningful event for the country's press.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Journalist Ho Minh Chien - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Father and Daughter" writing contest said that after 2 times of organization, thousands of entries were sent imbued with the love between father and daughter, showing that this topic has touched the hearts of many people. There were authors who sent 3-4 entries, entered the contest both times and all wrote with their entries: "I don't expect to win a prize, I just want to share my feelings with my beloved father". There were also readers who expressed regret for knowing about the contest late and not having time to send their entries...
“Father and Daughter are sacred feelings, values that never get old. Stories from the depths of the heart of father and daughter will always touch the emotions of each of us in a life filled with the chaos, worries and turmoil of today.
This year, we decided to cooperate with Hanoi University to organize the third contest to promote the spread of the core values of the contest, which are love, compassion and moral values from each individual, family, especially among young people, including young students," journalist Ho Minh Chien shared.

“Organizing the launching ceremony of the contest at Hanoi University, in my opinion, is also a good way to spread father-child and family affection to the young generation through the contest, which is very necessary in “digital life”, “digital society”, so that children always remember the value of family.
I think that the love between father and daughter, between daughter and father is always very special but not easy to express for Vietnamese people. It is always a "mine" in each person's soul, and the deeper we dig and explore, the more opportunities we have to "untapped sources and create what has not yet existed", Mr. Le Quoc Minh expressed.

The 3rd "Father and Daughter" Writing Contest in 2025 was officially launched and accepted from March 14, 2025 to June 12, 2025.

Contest rules
- Contest entries are articles about true stories (real people, real events) about happy and sad memories, memorable moments, unforgettable loving and profound situations between father and daughter, between daughter and father.
- The article can be in the form of a love letter, essay, diary written for the child, with real photos attached.
- Entries must be 1,000 - 1,500 words in Vietnamese, printed on paper or sent via email provided by the Organizing Committee.
- Entries are encouraged to include a 3-5 minute video showing stories and memorable, impressive moments between father and daughter such as traveling, cooking, gardening, studying, taking care of a sick father and child; being proud when reaping achievements in study and work with the child... Videos using music must not be banned by copyright.
Contestants
- All Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, including students, are encouraged to take the exam.
- Foreigners living and working in Vietnam (entries must be translated into Vietnamese).
- On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Organizing Committee encourages and awards special prizes to authors who have good articles about their fathers who participated in the August Revolution 80 years ago.
Contest conditions
- The entry must be a new article, not published/broadcast in any newspaper, radio or social networking site and has never been submitted to any other writing contest.
- Contestants are fully responsible for the copyright and authenticity of their entries, comply with the law, and do not violate public morals; copying in any form is prohibited.
- The Organizing Committee has the full right to use the entries and accompanying videos (including winning entries) for communication and promotion purposes without incurring any costs. The author cannot make any copyright claims.
- Each author can submit a maximum of 02 (two) entries.
- Personnel of the Organizing Committee, Jury, sponsors and accompanying units are not allowed to participate in the contest.
- The organizers do not accept fictional works, staged content, and characters that are not true to reality.
Time for receiving entries
- Time for receiving entries: From March 14, 2025 to June 12, 2025 according to the postmark or time of receiving mail.
- The Closing Ceremony and Award Gala is expected to take place on Vietnamese Family Day, June 28, 2025.

+ 01 first prize, 01 second prize and 01 third prize for female authors or authors writing about revolutionary leaders.

+ Awards for Vietnamese people living abroad and foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam.
