Ronaldo's lucrative contract with Al Nassr
Speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo's next destination has finally been cleared up. The Portuguese superstar has just decided to continue his commitment to Al Nassr for another 2 years as his old contract expires at the end of this month.
According to Transfermarkt, Ronaldo agreed to stay until the summer of 2027 with a salary of about 217 million USD/year, a 7.5% decrease compared to the previous contract. In return, he will become a shareholder of the club, with a holding ratio of about 15% of shares.
In addition to his "huge" salary, Ronaldo also receives many bonuses based on his achievements and personal benefits. Specifically:
$101,600/goal (20% increase in second year)
$50,800/assist (20% increase in second year)
$10.16 million if Al Nassr wins Saudi Pro League
$5.08 million if Ronaldo wins the Golden Boot
$8.26 million if the club wins the AFC Champions League
In terms of personal benefits, Ronaldo and his family are given access to a private jet worth about $5.08 million a year, and have a team of 16 personal staff (including chefs, drivers, maids, security guards, etc.). These expenses cost about $1.78 million a year, paid for by Al Nassr as part of the agreement.
In addition, the Portuguese superstar also received an additional $76.2 million from sponsorship contracts committed by the club through domestic and Asian partner companies. Notably, all income in Saudi Arabia is not taxed, allowing Ronaldo to receive the full amount without deductions.
Ederson denies leaving Man City
Amid rumors of leaving Etihad, goalkeeper Ederson has officially spoken out: “I will stay. This team is ambitious enough for me to continue winning the Premier League and Champions League. My mind is completely at Etihad.”
Previously, there was information that Man City was about to recruit Diogo Costa from Porto for a fee of about 50.8 million USD, raising doubts about Ederson's future.
Arsenal inquire about buying centre-back Cristhian Mosquera
According to British media, Arsenal is contacting Valencia to buy young center back Cristhian Mosquera (20 years old). This is considered a backup plan if the club cannot recruit Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Mosquera played 37/38 matches for Valencia in La Liga last season, and is considered one of the most potential young central defenders in Spanish football.
Liverpool successfully recruited Kerkez
Liverpool have completed the signing of left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for a fee of around £40m. The Hungarian has signed a five-year contract and becomes the Premier League champions' third signing after Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.
Liverpool's total spending in the summer transfer window has reached $254 million. Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has also joined the team after completing a loan deal at Valencia last season.
Kerkez is considered one of the most promising left-backs in Europe. He played all 38 matches in the Premier League 2024/25, scored 2 goals and had 6 assists.
Ibrahima Konate has not reached an agreement to extend his contract with Liverpool
Foot Mercato reported that defender Ibrahima Konate has not reached an agreement to extend his contract with Liverpool as his current contract has only one year left. His current salary is around $88,900/week, which is considered not commensurate with his role as a mainstay in the defense.
Konate will only agree to stay if the club raises his salary to around $254,000 a week. Otherwise, he can leave as a free agent next summer.
Man United are about to welcome Bryan Mbeumo
According to talkSPORT, Bryan Mbeumo has agreed personal terms with Man United and will undergo a medical at Carrington early next week. The fee the Red Devils have to pay Brentford is estimated at around $76.2 million.
The Cameroonian striker born in 1999 is expected to strengthen the unstable attack at Old Trafford.
In another development, Axel Tuanzebe, a former Man United player, is set to join Burnley on a free transfer after his two-year contract with Ipswich Town expires.
