At 10 PM on July 6th, the storm's center was located at approximately 23.5°N; 120.0°E, off the western coast of Taiwan (China). The strongest winds near the storm's center reached level 12 (118-133 km/h), with gusts up to level 15. The storm was moving in a North-Northeast direction at a speed of approximately 20-25 km/h.
The forecast for the following 24 hours indicates that Typhoon No. 2 will continue to move in a North-Northeast direction at a speed of 20-25 km/h and gradually weaken in intensity.
The storm is no longer likely to return to the South China Sea.
Due to the influence of the storm's circulation, on the night of July 6th, the northeastern part of the North East Sea experienced strong winds of force 6-8, waves 3-5 meters high, and rough seas.
From July 7th onwards, strong winds will continue to gradually decrease.
