On December 22, 2024, General Secretary To Lam signed and issued Resolution No. 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
One of the guiding viewpoints in the Resolution is to enrich and exploit the full potential of data, turn data into the main means of production, promote the rapid development of big databases, data industry, and data economy .
The Resolution also affirms that ensuring national sovereignty in cyberspace; ensuring network security, data security, and information security of organizations and individuals are consistent and inseparable requirements in the process of developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
In order to widely propagate, thoroughly grasp and soon put Resolution 57/NQ-TW into life, Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the National Cyber Security Association (NCA), the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to organize a discussion with the theme "Data security and network security in the era of national development".
