The seminar aimed to discuss, share and agree on orientations and solutions for tourism development. Delegates heard an overview of the current situation and tourism development potential of Vinh Long province after merging with Tra Vinh and Ben Tre.

Currently, the province has 3 national treasures, 16 national intangible cultural heritages, 214 ranked relics, 67 travel businesses and 356 accommodation establishments.

In 9 months, nearly 7 million visitors were welcomed, an increase of 12% over the same period; of which international visitors increased by 88%. The target is to welcome more than 4.6 million visitors by the end of the year, with revenue of nearly 3,000 billion VND. Vu Lan Thang Hoi Festival in Cau Ke is a unique cultural-spiritual tourism product, a highlight for building regional linkage products. However, there are still difficulties in infrastructure and lack of specific tourism products.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung emphasized: With the strength of eco-tourism, community-based tourism, sea tourism, especially river tourism, creating opportunities for inter-regional connection. It is recommended that localities should have a support policy and create conditions for people to participate in exploiting tourism services.

Units, associations, and businesses coordinate to develop tourism products associated with the Vu Lan Thang Hoi Festival, a typical spiritual and cultural product of Cau Ke. At the same time, connect the river and road routes to Can Tho, Ca Mau and the Mekong Delta provinces. From there, a specialized tour "Vu Lan Journey - Can Tho River - Ca Mau Cape" is formed, combining festival elements, rivers, cuisine, and craft villages, meeting the trend of experiential tourism and green tourism.

The delegation visited the Wax Coconut Museum, where wax coconut products are displayed.
