VTC News reported that witnessing Copenhagen's iconic building engulfed in a "firestorm" that caused the building's tower to collapse, the head of the Danish Chamber of Commerce said this was the saddest day of his life.

The building was formerly Copenhagen's old Stock Exchange and is one of Denmark's most iconic structures, with its spire designed to resemble the tails of four intertwined dragons, according to News .

Although the cause of the fire has not been determined, the incident occurred while the building was undergoing renovation.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage following the fire. Copenhagen police have asked people to avoid driving in the inner city.
