Nationwide recall of 'Nakids herbal shampoo to clean lice'

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) issued a document announcing the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of the product batch 'Nakids herbal shampoo to clean lice' - box of 1 bottle of 100ml because it did not meet quality standards and was manufactured against regulations.

The recalled product batch has batch number 082024, production date 8/26/2024, expiry date 8/25/2027, with the label having the declaration receipt number: 62/17/CBMP-HY.

The product is manufactured and marketed by Quang Xanh Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Company Limited (located in Nhu Quynh town, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province). The distributor is Dang Nhi Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Thai Nguyen city).

According to the test results, the shampoo sample taken at Manh Ty 32 pharmacy ( Hue city) did not meet the microbial limit, a mandatory standard in cosmetics.

Notably, the product was also determined to be produced after the product declaration registration number had expired - a serious violation of regulations in cosmetics management.

Based on that, the Drug Administration Department requested the recall of all batches of violating products nationwide, and immediately stopped the sale and use of the products at pharmacies, distribution and consumption facilities.

Proceed to recall and destroy all violating products, and strictly handle violating organizations and individuals according to current regulations.

Quang Xanh and Dang Nhi Companies are required to send recall notices to all distribution locations, receive returned products, organize destruction and report the results to the Department of Drug Administration before July 16, 2025.

The Department of Health of Hung Yen and Thai Nguyen are assigned to monitor and inspect the two companies in the implementation of recall, destruction, and compliance with the law on cosmetics. The inspection results must be specifically reported.
