Recall of Lesgo children's mouthwash of Ellie JSC due to violation of ingredient declaration regulations

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued Decision No. 2420/QLD-MP to suspend circulation, recall and request nationwide destruction of a batch of Lesgo children's mouthwash - 150ml bottle produced by Ellie Joint Stock Company, because it contains ingredients that do not match the announced formula.

Specifically, the suspended product batch is Lesgo Children's Mouthwash - 150ml bottle, Receipt of Declaration No. 2083/22/CBMP-HCM, batch number 0426230724, production date July 23, 2024, expiry date July 23, 2027, produced and marketed by Ellie Joint Stock Company.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) issued a Decision to suspend circulation, recall and destroy cosmetics for products of Ellie Joint Stock Company.

According to the Drug Administration, test results showed that the product contained Methylparaben - an ingredient not included in the published product formula, violating the regulations on cosmetic management according to Circular No. 06/2011/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health .

Test samples were taken at CoopXtra Tan Phong supermarket (SC Vivo City, Ho Chi Minh City) and tested by the Center for Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety.

In response to the above violations, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requested the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities to notify businesses and users to immediately stop circulating and using the violating product batch; at the same time, recall and destroy all goods and strictly handle cases of non-compliance.

Ellie Joint Stock Company is responsible for notifying all distributors and users of the product of the recall; receiving returned goods, organizing destruction and reporting the results to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before September 20, 2025.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health is assigned to supervise the recall and destruction of enterprises, and at the same time revoke the receipt number of Cosmetic Product Declaration Form 2083/22/CBMP-HCM. At the same time, conduct inspections, handle violations according to regulations and report the results to the Department of Drug Administration before October 5, 2025.
