Quang Ngai overcomes coastal erosion

QNgTV- In recent years, coastal erosion caused by climate change and high tides in Quang Ngai has been very complicated. The province has invested hundreds of billions of VND to overcome 12 particularly dangerous coastal erosion points, with a total length of 10.3km.

Typical examples include the sea dike of Binh Hai commune (old), now Van Tuong commune, over 2,000m long, which has been completed and basically eliminated coastal erosion. Or the sea dike of Thanh Duc 1, Sa Huynh ward, which was destroyed by waves, has been repaired and connected to a new dike project, contributing to stabilizing the coast.

Currently, the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Quang Ngai province is speeding up the construction progress of the stabilizing embankment of Sa Can seaport, Van Tuong commune and the sea embankment of An Phu commune to put it into use soon.

In the coming time, the province will continue to overcome coastal erosion with hard and soft solutions to contribute to stabilizing the coast, preserving land, infrastructure, and stabilizing people's lives.
