This is the first content stated by the Ministry of Public Security in the Draft Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 69/2024 regulating electronic identification and authentication.

Accordingly, in the near future, the national identification application VNeID is expected to be supplemented with regulations on social security accounts. This account will be a collection of information of agencies, organizations, individuals and bank accounts, e-wallets, telecommunications e-wallets and other types of payment accounts integrated by agencies, organizations and individuals on VNeID.

The account will "serve the payment of support, pensions, insurance and other payments from state agencies to agencies, organizations and individuals". Currently, the whole country has more than 3.4 million people receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits. These payments are paid periodically at the beginning of the month through bank accounts or received directly at the payment point. For the elderly, the lonely, the sick, and the infirm, the post office will send them to their homes.
