Journalist Le Quoc Minh stated: “Google’s news initiative demonstrates a long-standing partnership with news organizations. This collaboration needs to be further enhanced. My main concern is Google’s role in protecting journalistic copyrights, preventing websites and channels from reusing content without permission. In addition, there’s the support in generating revenue. Advertising for the press still plays a crucial role, but it’s declining.”

At the program, a Google representative from Southeast Asia shared: The training collaboration with Vietnamese media outlets shares trends and lessons learned globally and regionally regarding readers' news search habits, thereby helping them to better understand and choose appropriate information.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, stated: "This cooperation is of great importance to Vietnamese journalism. Through these exchanges, we see that the cooperation between media organizations and Google will become more professional, deeper, and more focused on data utilization and models."

“Google’s collaboration with several media outlets is essential. The Ministry always supports and hopes that cooperation with Vietnamese media outlets and regulatory agencies will reach a new level. This will contribute to enhancing the capacity of Vietnamese media outlets and help protect copyright…,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam.
