President Putin sent a thank-you message to the Vietnamese leaders.

RIA Novosti reported today (June 24) that immediately after concluding his state visit to Vietnam, President Vladimir Putin sent a thank-you message to the Vietnamese leaders.

" Dear General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, esteemed President To Lam, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you both for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to me and the Russian delegation." "During my state visit to Vietnam, the trip to Vietnam left me with the best impressions ," President Putin's telegram read.

President Putin noted that the talks were truly constructive and effective. The Russian leader expressed confidence that the implementation of the bilateral agreements reached would further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Hanoi .

“ I hope that the two countries will continue to work actively on pressing and topical issues on the bilateral and international agenda. I wish you both good health and new successes for the benefit of the Vietnamese people ,” President Putin expressed.

Earlier, during the visit, Vietnam and Russia issued a joint statement on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia based on the achievements of 30 years of implementing the Treaty on the Basic Principles of Friendly Relations between Vietnam and Russia. The statement highly appreciated the important achievements of the bilateral relationship, affirmed the principles, and set out directions to promote and strengthen cooperation and develop the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, for the long-term benefit of the people of both countries, and for peace, security, and sustainable development in the region and the world.

President To Lam and President Putin witnessed the exchange of a series of bilateral cooperation documents in the fields of education and training, transportation, justice, customs, finance, science and technology, including the Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education.

President Putin's visit takes place against the backdrop of very positive, rapid, and comprehensive development of Vietnam-Russia relations; a model of mutually beneficial and equal cooperation, consistent with the interests of peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

This state visit by President Putin is of paramount importance, further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia in all areas, especially in the context of the two countries striving to realize the Joint Declaration on the Vision for a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to 2030.
