At noon on May 1st, despite the very hot weather, a large number of people still came to attend the 4th Southern Traditional Cake Festival in Ca Mau 2024 (Hoang Nam).

This year, Ca Mau successfully organized a series of activities within the "Ca Mau - Destination 2024" event program, effectively serving the political objectives of celebrating the complete liberation and reunification of Southern Vietnam on April 30th and International Labor Day on May 1st. These activities not only effectively disseminated the political significance of the holidays to the people but also served as a highlight to attract tourists.

During this holiday, the Ca Mau Province Book and Reading Culture Day 2024, the U Minh Forest Scent Event 2024, and the 4th Southern Traditional Cake Festival were organized with many activities such as: Karaoke singing festival “U Minh Forest Scent”; cooking competition; exhibition of images on the theme “U Minh – 45 years of a journey”; display of typical agricultural products; sports and folk games; traditional cake making competition; cultural and artistic activities held nightly; guidance on processing, displaying, and selling various types of traditional cakes; display of OCOP products; images of Ca Mau tourism... These diverse activities created a highlight for tourism, attracting nearly half of the total number of tourists to Ca Mau during this holiday,” Mr. Tran Hieu Hung added.
