Tottenham boss demands Harry Kane be sold this summer if the England striker does not sign a new contract.
Tottenham once wanted to keep captain Harry Kane with a salary offer of 400,000 pounds/week. |
Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has insisted Harry Kane will not be allowed to leave as a free agent next year.
The London club value Kane at £100m but will be under pressure to sell the Three Lions captain before September 1 if he refuses to sign a new Spurs contract worth £400,000 a week.
Bayern Munich have twice offered to buy Harry Kane but were rejected and are preparing to make a third offer. MU previously expressed interest in the striker who is about to turn 30.
However, the Red Devils of Manchester face many obstacles, not only in the fee but also in the salary that Harry Kane demands, up to 577,000 pounds/week (30 million pounds/year).
If he joins MU, the salary structure at Old Trafford will be broken, because the highest paid player in the team right now is Marcus Rashford, 325,000 pounds/week (can increase to 375,000 pounds/week including bonuses).
Coach Erik ten Hag is concerned that Harry Kane's salary demands could create jealousy among key players.
Therefore, although Spurs are willing to sell the English striker, the Dutch coach's number one target is still Rasmus Hojlund, currently valued at around 50-60 million pounds.
Coach Ten Hag needs another quality striker to complete the squad in preparation for the 2023/24 season. Hojlund is the name he "likes" the most, followed by Frankfurt's Kolo Muani.
