Leading the top 5 best-selling hybrid models in May 2025 is the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV with sales of more than 200 vehicles, recording impressive growth compared to the previous month. Following closely behind is the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid - a model that is also gradually asserting its position in the segment thanks to its accessible price and outstanding fuel economy. In May 2025, Toyota Corolla Cross HEV sold 230 vehicles, an increase of 65 vehicles compared to the previous month, becoming the best-selling Hybrid model of the month. Corolla Cross HEV continues to affirm its appeal with dynamic design, economical operation and especially competitive price in the mid-range hybrid segment.
The second position continues to belong to the 7-seat hybrid SUV and MPV Suzuki XL7 with sales of 201 vehicles in Vietnam, an increase of 6 vehicles compared to the previous month. With a reasonable price, practical design, Suzuki XL7 is suitable for families, along with mild hybrid technology that saves more fuel than competitors in the same segment. Another Toyota model also appeared in the top is the Innova Cross HEV with sales of 170 vehicles, ranking third in the hybrid car rankings in May 2025.
Despite a decrease of more than 100 cars compared to last month, this model still shows great attraction in the 7-seat car segment. Modern design, spacious space and environmentally friendly hybrid transmission help Innova Cross continue to be trusted by family customers. In May 2025, Honda CR-V e:HEV sold 156 vehicles, an increase of 6 vehicles compared to the previous month and ranked in the top 5 best-selling hybrid vehicles in the Vietnamese market. The new generation Honda CR-V e:HEV SUV in Vietnam scores points thanks to its advanced hybrid technology, stable operation and luxurious design. Toyota Camry continued to maintain stability with 150 cars sold in May 2025, an increase of 2 cars compared to the previous month. Not only that, the hybrid version also outperformed the traditional gasoline version when the gasoline Camry only sold 89 cars in the month.
Toyota Camry HEV targets business and individual customers who value comfort, luxury, and fuel economy. Despite increasingly fierce competition, Camry HEV still retains a loyal customer base thanks to its brand, quality, and characteristic smooth driving feeling. A small but notable bright spot came from the Kia Sorento HEV/PHEV, when this model recorded 8 units sold in May, an increase of 4 units compared to April 2025. Previously, many dealers had announced that the Sorento hybrid would be launched with a new upgrade in March. However, this plan is currently postponed indefinitely, causing sales of this model to stagnate in recent times.
