According to Carscoops, a 2025 Toyota GR Corolla Core with manual transmission was successfully auctioned on Cars & Bids for $34,500. Notably, this hot-hatch was only registered a few weeks ago and had an initial purchase price of $41,377, including shipping and some basic options.

In total, the car owner lost nearly $7,000 (about 183 million VND) after only a short time of use, while the new owner got a bargain. The car had only rolled 750 miles, equivalent to about 1,200 km, the exterior and interior were almost completely new, and still had the original warranty.
Carscoops notes that it is unclear why the previous owner sold the car so early, but this is not an uncommon case. On many online auction sites, customers can buy almost brand new models, but there is also a potential risk because they cannot directly inspect the car before paying.

Most of these super "used" cars still have a long warranty period, low ODO mileage and provide an experience similar to a new car, helping buyers save a significant amount of money.
This Toyota GR Corolla Core uses a 1.6L 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 300 horsepower and 400 Nm of maximum torque. The car is equipped with a Torsen limited-slip differential system on both the front and rear axles.

Despite the optional 8-speed automatic transmission, the resale car still comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, keeping the sporty spirit of the GR Corolla line.
Carscoops also pointed out some interesting details in the original options list. The previous owner had to pay an additional $129 for a center screen protector and $79 for four phone cables. These were considered unreasonable expenses, adding to the loss when reselling.
