Saigon.PT Co., Ltd. has announced that it will temporarily suspend its four-wheeled electric vehicle service for transporting tourists in Ho Chi Minh City starting July 1, 2025, due to new legal regulations and unsuitable transportation infrastructure.
Saigon.PT's four-wheeled electric vehicle service was piloted from April 2024, with a fleet of 70 eight-seater vehicles operating in districts 1, 4, 5, and 6.
The service operates from 6 AM to 12 AM daily, with prices ranging from 120,000 to 250,000 VND per 30 minutes, connecting prominent tourist attractions such as the Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, and Nha Rong Wharf.
The vehicles are modernly designed, equipped with Wi-Fi, offer cashless payments, and the drivers wear traditional Vietnamese clothing, creating a friendly atmosphere for tourists.
The model aims to develop green transportation, reduce emissions, and apply digital technology in urban areas.
After more than a year of operation, the service has completed nearly 100,000 trips, serving almost half a million passengers.
The fleet has also accompanied many major events such as river festivals, the April 30th National Day celebrations, etc., and throughout its operation, no collisions or traffic accidents have been recorded.
