Saigon.PT Company Limited has just announced that it will temporarily suspend the 4-wheel electric car service for transporting tourists in Ho Chi Minh City from July 1, 2025, due to new legal regulations and traffic infrastructure not being suitable for continued operation.
Saigon.PT's 4-wheel electric vehicle service will be piloted from April 2024, with a fleet of 70 8-seat vehicles, operating in districts 1, 4, 5 and 6.
The bus operates from 6am to midnight every day, with prices ranging from 120,000 - 250,000 VND/30 minutes, connecting famous tourist attractions such as Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, Nha Rong Wharf...
The vehicles are modernly designed, have wifi, cashless payment, and drivers wearing traditional Vietnamese clothes create a friendly feeling for tourists.
The model aims to develop green transport, reduce emissions and apply digital technology in urban areas.
After more than a year of implementation, the service has made nearly 100,000 trips, serving nearly half a million passengers.
The fleet has also accompanied many major events such as river festivals, April 30th celebrations... and during its operation, no collisions or traffic accidents were recorded.
