At the press conference, Vo Ho Hoang Vu, Chief of the Office of the Department of Culture and Sports, said that Ho Chi Minh City will have many commemorative activities during this period.

Specifically, the photo exhibition will take place from August 16th to September 6th at Lam Son Park; Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture and Sports , opposite Chi Lang Park), District 1, organized by the City's Major Holidays Celebration Organizing Committee, the Department of Culture and Sports, and related units.

The ceremony of offering incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang will take place from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on August 30, 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch (No. 1 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, District 4); the Ton Duc Thang Museum (No. 5 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1); the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street (District 1).

Cultural, artistic, and sports activities are organized by the City's Organizing Committee for Major Holidays, the Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with relevant units. The art program commemorating the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024), the 79th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to Seize Power (August 25, 1945 - August 25, 2024), and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) will take place at 7:00 PM on Monday, September 2nd, at the pedestrian area of ​​Nguyen Hue Street (intersection with Ngo Duc Ke Street), Ben Nghe Ward, District 1. The program will be broadcast live on radio and television, connected with an artistic fireworks display for the public.

On this occasion, an artistic fireworks display, organized by the City Command in coordination with relevant units, will take place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on Monday, September 2nd, 2024. The fireworks will be launched at two locations: a high-altitude display at the entrance to the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Thiem Ward/Thu Duc City) featuring 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-altitude fireworks displays, and 10 pyrotechnic displays; and a low-altitude display at Dam Sen Cultural Park, Ward 3, District 11, featuring 90 low-altitude fireworks displays.

The Department of Information and Communications also organized an exhibition of documents and images to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024), the 79th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to Seize Power (August 25, 1945 - August 25, 2024), and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street (Nguyen Van Binh Street, District 1)...

Also on the occasion of National Day on September 2nd, a representative of the Saigon Tourism Corporation stated that the company will have additional programs. Dam Sen Cultural Park will coordinate with departments, agencies, and local authorities to organize activities well during the fireworks display. From August 31st to September 3rd, entrance tickets will be free for those whose birthdays fall on September 2nd, and a 50% discount will be offered to those whose birthdays fall in September.
