Ho Chi Minh City is considering disciplinary action against several officials.

Specifically, disciplinary action in the form of a Warning was issued to the Party Branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center for the terms 2012-2015 and 2015-2017.

The reason is that this Party cell violated Party regulations in its leadership, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of political tasks, leading to the Biotechnology Center issuing documents contrary to legal regulations on project investment and bidding, causing serious consequences during the 2012-2015 term and very serious consequences during the 2015-2017 term; in which, Party members of the cell violated the law to the extent that they must be prosecuted criminally.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission has disciplined the Party Branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center with a warning for the 2012-2015 and 2015-2017 terms.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission also disciplined Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, former Party Secretary and former Director of the Central Psychiatric Hospital No. 2, by expelling him from the Party. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do; Party regulations and State laws regarding leadership, management, and use of State assets in directing the signing of joint venture and cooperation contracts for the exploitation of land on the site of the Psychological Counseling Center and the renovation and repair of the Psychological Counseling House and guesthouse within the Central Psychiatric Hospital No. 2 premises, causing damage to State assets.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission also disciplined Mr. Doan Van Son, former member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio District, with a warning. Mr. Doan Van Son violated Party regulations and State laws in assigning tasks to subordinates and in deciding to temporarily allocate land to private enterprises, causing losses of State assets.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission has requested the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to consider and impose disciplinary action, within its authority, against Mr. Dinh Minh Hiep, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and former Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Zone. Mr. Hiep violated Party regulations and State laws in the bidding process for a project to procure equipment for the laboratory and environmental treatment system, causing serious damage to State property.

Mr. Doan Van Thu, former member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio District, has also been recommended for disciplinary action. Mr. Thu violated Party regulations and State laws in signing and issuing land use right certificates, causing legal consequences.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Commission announced that the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has disciplined Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, by removing him from all his Party positions. Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do; regulations on the responsibility of setting an example for cadres and Party members, especially key leading cadres at all levels; and violated the Law on Marriage and Family.
