On July 5, Thai Nguyen City organized security forces to reclaim nearly 8,300 square meters of land belonging to the Taipei Hotel Construction Investment Project, Phan Dinh Phung Ward (photo).
The reason is that the investor, Taipei TNKS Joint Stock Company, did not put the land into use to implement the Project within 12 consecutive months from the date of receiving the land handover on site and did not carry out the procedures to extend the progress of putting the land into use according to the provisions of law.
The land area recovered at plot number 601, cadastral map sheet number 42, Phan Dinh Phung ward. The current status of the land is surrounded by a corrugated iron fence, temporary house, sand and gravel construction materials; 2 containers used as offices and other assets of Taipei TNKS Investment Joint Stock Company. This area will be handed over to the Thai Nguyen City Land Fund Development Center for management according to the planning. Thai Nguyen City has carried out procedures to protect and recover land in accordance with the process, ensuring security and order.
Taipei TNKS Investment Joint Stock Company was granted an investment certificate by the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee to implement the Taipei Hotel construction investment project since 2009, handed over the land in 2012 and granted a land use right certificate in 2015. Since being assigned the land, the Company has not implemented the project, affecting the efficiency of land use and urban aesthetics of Thai Nguyen City. The Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to reclaim the entire land area handed over to the unit, and at the same time directed relevant departments and branches of the province and Thai Nguyen City to carry out land recovery steps in accordance with the provisions of law.
