On the morning of October 11, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Science and Technology , and the Center for Digital Transformation to organize the launching ceremony of the Digital Literacy Movement for the 2025-2026 period. Through the launching ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City hopes to strongly spread the message that each citizen is a nucleus of digital transformation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy emphasized that the digital literacy movement has special significance in the new period.
Ho Chi Minh City aims to popularize knowledge, equipping basic digital knowledge and skills for all classes of people, especially disadvantaged groups, ensuring that no one is left behind in the national digital transformation process.

"The digital literacy movement is a call for a new revolution in knowledge and skills in the digital age, a task of historical significance and a mission of the times," said the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee informed that the city's goal by 2026 is that 100% of adults will have basic knowledge of digital transformation, have digital skills, and be proficient in using smart devices to exploit information and use essential digital platforms and services.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan affirmed that the digital literacy movement is a fundamental step, helping people master technology, turning digital knowledge into endogenous strength to successfully implement the resolution, improve and enhance the quality of life.
The leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City pledged that together with its member organizations, they will take the lead in synchronously and effectively implementing the digital literacy movement for the masses in the 2025-2026 period; building volunteer teams to carry out the movement as the core, creative and pioneering force in spreading digital knowledge to all classes of people.

During the launch of the digital literacy movement, Ho Chi Minh City focused on guiding and popularizing a number of essential digital platforms and services, and at the same time guiding the use of the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Application", as well as other important applications such as VNeID, VSSID, and e-wallets.
The city also replicates the models of "Digital Family", "Digital Ambassador", "Digital Market", "Each citizen - A digital identity", and especially the model of "Morning Coffee - Exchange with people, popularize and update digital skills".
