Ho Chi Minh City is focusing all resources on ensuring a happy Lunar New Year for its citizens.

With the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 fast approaching, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, proposed focusing all resources on ensuring a thoughtful Tet celebration for all segments of the population, including officials, union members, and association members.

On February 4th, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to summarize its work in 2025 and to implement its work program for 2026.

By 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front had affirmed its comprehensive leadership role in all aspects of its work, while also completing the consolidation and streamlining of its apparatus, reducing the number of departments from 32 to 10 specialized committees.

The Party Committee has led the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and its member organizations in implementing many specific projects and tasks, leveraging social resources, and creating a combined strength to carry out patriotic emulation movements linked to genuine social welfare. Through this, activities have been organized to care for and improve the material and spiritual lives of all strata of people in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the same time, with the spirit of "Ho Chi Minh City for the whole country, together with the whole country," the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City promptly organized delegations to visit and implement activities to support people affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods; the activities "For the homeland's sea and islands - For the front lines of the Fatherland" are increasingly effective and practical.

In his remarks at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Party Agencies of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Van Phong, requested that the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City and each Party branch always pay attention to implementing the motto of ensuring "3 safety": security - social welfare - safety.

The goal is to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, with the people at the center and as the main actors, bringing about an increasingly better life for the people.

The Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ho Chi Minh City leads its units in effectively implementing social welfare policies, visiting, encouraging, giving gifts, and caring for policy beneficiaries, meritorious individuals, and those in difficult circumstances during Tet, ensuring that everyone and every family has a happy Tet and no one is left behind.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh requested that each Party committee promptly develop an action plan to implement the resolution and a specific annual work program.

Regarding professional implementation, the comrade directed the continued restructuring of the internal organizational apparatus of each agency and unit. Along with this, the content and methods of work should be reformed to ensure they are consistent with the current new model.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh also emphasized the regular tasks to build a truly clean and strong Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ho Chi Minh City. These include improving the quality of Party branch meetings, linked with the effective use of the electronic Party member handbook. At the same time, focus on doing a good job in Party development work annually and throughout the term.

Noting that digital transformation in the activities of the entire Party is an important task, Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh requested that digital transformation within the Party must be closely linked to digital transformation in professional work. Through this, we can build digital agencies, digital cadres, digital Party members, and digital association members.

As the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 approaches, Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh requested that all resources be focused on ensuring a thoughtful and festive celebration for all segments of the population, including cadres, union members, and association members.

On this occasion, 6 Party branches and sub-branches directly under the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 25 sub-branches directly under the Party branches, and 280 Party members who achieved the "Outstanding Performance" award received certificates of commendation.

Regarding preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels, the comrade requested that Party committees and organizations immediately implement election-related tasks, focusing on propaganda work... to ensure the successful organization of the election.
