Nguyen Tran Tuong Vy, a 9th-grade student from Le Loi Secondary School (Xuan Hoa Ward), was one of the candidates who arrived at the exam site as early as 6 a.m. For the first subject, Literature, she hoped the topic would be about love for her homeland. She had prepared examples of patriotic young people such as musician Nguyen Van Chung and singer Hoa Minzy.

For Nguyen Ngoc Hoang Vu, a 9th-grade student from Bach Dang Secondary School (Nhieu Loc Ward), who registered Marie Curie High School as her first choice, she will do her best during the two days of the exam. Her secret to acing the Literature exam is paying attention to the structure of paragraphs/essays and presenting her work neatly. She hopes the exam will focus on environmental protection as it resonates with her age group.

As for Truong Nghia, a 9th-grade student from Le Loi Secondary School, he hoped the exam would focus on the topic of school violence. For the essay question, his secret to success was not to count words but to estimate the number of pages in the exam paper. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of adhering closely to the question's requirements and avoiding rambling.
At the Le Loi Secondary School examination site (Xuan Hoa ward), there are 21 examination rooms with 504 candidates, 3 reserve examination rooms, and 2 waiting rooms.

According to the exam center's leader, because the candidates had been briefed on the exam regulations yesterday morning (May 31), the number of candidates leaving their belongings at the designated storage area this morning was very small.

During a visit to encourage candidates at the Doan Thi Diem Secondary School examination site, the Director of the Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hieu, stated that this year's 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City has a very large number of candidates. The entire city has 242 examination sites across all three regions, spread widely.
Therefore, the delivery of exam papers could not be done daily as in previous years, but was instead delivered to the examination centers one day in advance. Specifically, on the morning of May 31st, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Police to deliver the exam papers to the examination centers. At each examination center, police officers were on duty 24/7 in the rooms where the exam papers and answer sheets were stored.

Specifically for examination centers with candidates with special needs, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has arranged a plan to ensure the rights of these candidates are protected.
At the Doan Thi Diem Secondary School examination center, a student undergoing treatment for an infectious disease was assigned a separate examination room and required to wear a mask throughout the exam. The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hieu, encouraged and wished the student the best of luck on the exam.

At the Le Loi Secondary School examination site, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu expressed his gratitude to the volunteer force that assisted candidates at the entrance of the examination site. In addition, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training encouraged candidates and invigilators to perform their duties well during the exam.
