This is one of the activities commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2026). At the same time, the activity also aims to realize the heartfelt exchanges regarding the care for orphaned and disabled children made by General Secretary and President To Lam during his visit to the family of the late Lawyer and Acting President Nguyen Huu Tho on May 18th.

At the program, Mr. Nguyen Huu Chau, son of the late Lawyer and Acting President Nguyen Huu Tho, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Youth Union's Resistance Tradition Club of the Central Agencies of the Southern Region, emphasized: "We are deeply moved by the image of these students, despite their physical disadvantages, still supporting and loving each other. The teacher-student bond always shines brightly in this shared home."

Mr. Chau emphasized the spirit of solidarity among all levels of people and organizations, thereby connecting them to carry out meaningful programs like today's. This will be a practical action to encourage and motivate the children to continue striving for excellence in their studies and lives.
Ms. Hoang Thi My Hanh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Vocational Training and Job Creation, said: The center currently has 586 disabled children, of which more than 50% have severe disabilities.
In addition to academic studies, the students receive vocational training and achieve many positive results in their training and education. The encouragement from various agencies and organizations is a great source of motivation for the staff and teachers, especially the students studying and living at the center. This is an opportunity for the students to better understand the positive values in life that these agencies and organizations have provided for them.

Nguyen Van Khai, a 7th-grade student, emotionally shared: "The affection shown by the Youth Union's Traditional Resistance Club of the Central Agencies of the Southern Region; the family of the late Lawyer and Acting President Nguyen Huu Tho; and other agencies and units will be a motivation for us to continue striving for excellence in our studies. We will turn difficulties into determination and action to reach the dreams we are pursuing."
At the event, the participating units awarded 20 scholarships (1 million VND each) and gifts to students at the center. The organizers stated that they will continue this activity in the following years to encourage and commend the resilience of disabled students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
