Mr. Chau Vuth Thi, Head of the Economic Department of Tri Ton Commune, said that currently, transportation, urban, and tourism infrastructure has received significant investment, with over 200 projects underway and a total investment of thousands of billions of VND. Digital transformation has been implemented synchronously, with 100% of officials using electronic systems; 100% of administrative procedures are handled digitally; the rate of people with electronic identification has reached over 82%; and telecommunications infrastructure is widespread with more than 54 base stations and nearly 6,500 fixed-line internet subscribers. “The agricultural, commercial, and tourism sectors are gradually forming a foundation for modern development, linking production with the market and offering unique ecological and cultural tourism experiences in the Bay Nui region,” Mr. Thi stated.

Recognizing that agriculture continues to be a crucial pillar of the economy, Tri Ton commune is gradually shifting from a production-oriented agricultural mindset to an agricultural economy, applying technology and data to production. The commune is promoting the application of advanced techniques, mechanization, the "3 reductions, 3 increases" and "1 must, 5 reductions" models, and high-quality rice production linked to the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice in the Mekong Delta. Simultaneously, it is applying software and digital platforms in production management, weather forecasting, disease management, and product traceability.

Trade and services in Tri Ton commune are increasingly vibrant, with over 2,600 businesses operating in diverse sectors. Digital transformation in commerce is gradually yielding clear results. The local government supports businesses in bringing local products to e-commerce platforms; assists business households and cooperatives in accessing broader markets; promotes cashless payments; integrates QR codes at markets, shops, and tourist destinations; and applies digital platforms in managing and promoting products, building local brands linked to cultural identity.

Through digital transformation, trade and services in Tri Ton commune are becoming increasingly professional and transparent, better meeting the needs of residents and tourists. Ms. Le Kieu Oanh, a resident of Tri Ton commune, said that she no longer worries about forgetting money at home when going to the market. This is because most businesses and grocery stores are equipped with cashless payment systems, making buying and selling transactions more convenient.

For tourism, Tri Ton commune has invested in infrastructure to support this sector. In particular, it has completed the transportation system connecting tourist destinations such as Ta Pa Lake, Soai So Lake, Soai Chek Lake, Ta Pa Pagoda, and Xvayton Pagoda; and developed experiential tourism routes linked to ecology and culture. Based on this, many distinctive tourism products have been formed, such as community tourism, ecotourism, bull racing festivals, hot air balloon rides, and Khmer cultural experiences.

The commune is gradually building smart tourism through the digitization of destination information and the use of QR codes to introduce historical sites and scenic spots. Technology is being applied in tourism promotion and communication; tourism is being connected with the consumption of local agricultural products and services, resulting in Tri Ton commune welcoming over 13,500 tourists annually. “Tri Ton has many famous tourist attractions, especially those associated with the Khmer people. Currently, the transportation system is being upgraded, promising strong development of local tourism in the near future,” commented Mr. Tran Thanh Thuan, a tourist from Long Xuyen ward.

To further promote effective digital transformation, Tri Ton commune focuses on improving digital infrastructure; developing digital human resources; promoting the digital economy in agriculture, building value chains linking production, processing, consumption, and tourism. At the same time, it is accelerating administrative reform, digital government, and improving the quality of services for citizens and businesses.

Digital transformation is not only an inevitable trend but also a fundamental solution for Tri Ton commune to develop rapidly and sustainably, improving the quality of life for its people. With strong political determination, the consensus of the people, and the support of businesses, Tri Ton will continue to make strong breakthroughs, becoming a shining example in the development of modern agriculture, dynamic commerce, and unique tourism in An Giang.
