Book exhibition about President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street.

To commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path to national salvation, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street is organizing a series of cultural and reading activities with many meaningful contents from May 15 to 21.

The highlight of the program is the exhibition space dedicated to books about President Ho Chi Minh in the area of Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, showcasing many books about his life, revolutionary career, thoughts, and feelings for the Vietnamese people.

In addition, publishing and distribution units at the Book Street have also simultaneously designed exhibition spaces themed around President Ho Chi Minh, offering many unique publications for readers.

On May 16th and 17th, the Creative Reading and Storytelling Zone organized reading and storytelling activities about President Ho Chi Minh for children and families. Through relatable stories about the life and personality of President Ho Chi Minh, the program aimed to foster a love of books and educate the younger generation about patriotic traditions.

Present at the Book Street on the morning of May 16th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Anh (residing in District 3) said that the exhibition space helped her and her daughter understand more about the life and thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh through books and visual images.

"I find this activity very meaningful, especially for young children. Bringing stories about Uncle Ho closer to children through books and storytelling will help them access and remember them more easily," she shared.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Company Limited, the series of activities in May aims to promote the role of Book Street as a cultural reading space, a destination for knowledge exchange and community connection, while contributing to spreading historical, cultural, and traditional values to the public, especially the younger generation.

In addition to activities themed around President Ho Chi Minh, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street also organizes many cultural programs for locals and tourists, most notably a check-in space with the Doraemon movie and the 5th Book and Culture Night Festival with the theme "City Festival".
