The heartbreaking story of a 16-month-old boy who died in his mother's arms while watching fireworks has touched the hearts of millions of social media users.

On the evening of November 29, when the family took their 16-month-old son out to watch fireworks, the mother suddenly burst into tears when she discovered that her son had passed away. The mother kept wiping away her tears, while the father gently kissed the boy's face.

The boy's father, Mr. Liu, said his son had congenital heart disease. At 5 months old, he underwent heart surgery, but 3 days after the surgery, his heart suddenly stopped beating. Doctors tried to save him, but he was then in the intensive care unit for a month.

After being discharged from the hospital, the doctor also told the family that the boy's illness was very serious. His heart had many holes so further surgeries were of little value.

"We are heartbroken but there is no hope left. If his condition is curable, we will definitely continue to look for a method," Mr. Liu shared.

After a long time fighting the disease, the boy's health gradually declined. On the evening of November 29, seeing the child tired, the couple knew that the child was about to die.

"That day, someone set off fireworks, and my wife took our son out to watch. When the fireworks ended, our son left us," Liu confided.

The video attracted millions of views, touching many people. "The baby has definitely gone to a place where there is no more suffering. Mother, don't blame yourself too much. Love yourself, then there will be hope for the future," commented netizens.
