Coach Nguyen Anh Duc unexpectedly took charge of Thanh Hoa FC starting from round 25 of the V-League 2025/26.

From round 25 of the LPBank V-League, coach Mai Xuan Hop stepped down to become an assistant coach, handing over the "hot seat" to head coach Nguyen Anh Duc . This news surprised many people because there are only two rounds left in this season.

This is the second time Thanh Hoa has changed coaches mid-season. Previously, South Korean coach Choi Won Kwon parted ways with the team after only 10 rounds. Assistant coach Mai Xuan Hop temporarily led the Thanh Hoa team until coach Nguyen Anh Duc was appointed.

The last two rounds will be tough matches for new head coach Nguyen Anh Duc. While Thanh Hoa will face Ninh Binh in round 25, in the final match of the season, Thanh Hoa'sSHB Da Nang team is doing everything to avoid relegation.
