MSc. Le Dinh Hoai Vu, project leader, presented the project's results.

The project has coordinated with relevant units in A Lưới district to implement the following contents: Receiving and mastering technological processes; selecting households to build models for the production of commercial lilies, chrysanthemums, and gerberas in A Ngo and Son Thuy communes and A Lưới town.

After two years of implementation, the lead unit has completed the project's objectives and contents on schedule, fulfilling all requirements as outlined in the project proposal and achieving the set goals. The project has adopted and mastered three technical processes: growing potted chrysanthemums; growing potted gerberas; and growing potted lilies. The technology transfer processes applied during the project implementation are suitable for the actual conditions in A Lưới district.

The project has successfully developed a model for commercial lily production on a scale of 2,000 m2/10 households, achieving 50,000 plants per year, equivalent to 100,000 plants per project; commercial chrysanthemum production on a scale of 1,000 m2/10 households, achieving 30,000 plants per year, equivalent to 60,000 plants per project; and commercial gerbera production on a scale of 1,000 m2/10 households, achieving 8,000 plants per year, equivalent to 16,000 plants per project. All of these planting models achieved a 95-97% success rate in plant growth and development, with no pest or disease problems.

Members of the project review board provided feedback to improve the project.

The project has successfully developed a model for commercial flower cultivation and controlled flowering for lilies, chrysanthemums, and gerberas, suitable for the province's conditions. At the acceptance conference, the acceptance council members highly appreciated the content, activities, and economic and social benefits. However, the project needs to develop a future plan to further expand the model, transfer it to beneficiary units and households, enable them to master the process, and apply it widely. This will help to replicate the project model, contributing to the development of high-tech agricultural production, increasing people's income, developing socio-economic conditions, stabilizing security and order, and protecting the environment in rural and mountainous areas of A Lưới district.
