MSc. Le Dinh Hoai Vu, project manager, presented the project implementation results.

The project has coordinated with relevant units in A Luoi district to implement the following contents: Receiving and mastering technological processes; selecting households to build models for producing commercial lilies, commercial chrysanthemums, and commercial gerberas in A Ngo and Son Thuy communes and A Luoi town.

After 2 years of implementation, the project's project objectives and contents have been completed on schedule, with sufficient content as described, and the set objectives have been achieved. The project has received and mastered 3 technical processes: Growing chrysanthemums in pots; Growing gerberas in pots; Growing lilies in pots. The technology transfer processes applied during the project implementation are suitable to the actual conditions in A Luoi district.

The project has successfully built a commercial lily production model with a scale of 2,000 m2/10 households with a quantity of 50,000 plants/year, equivalent to 100,000 plants/project; commercial chrysanthemums with a scale of 1,000 m2/10 households with a quantity of 30,000 plants/year, equivalent to 60,000 plants/project; commercial gerbera daisies with a scale of 1,000 m2/10 households with a quantity of 8,000 plants/year, equivalent to 16,000 plants/project. The above planting models all achieved 95-97% of plants growing and developing well, without pests or diseases.

Acceptance council members give comments to complete the project

The project has successfully built a model of commercial flower cultivation, controlling flowering for lilies, chrysanthemums, and gerberas suitable for the province's conditions. At the acceptance conference, the acceptance council members highly appreciated the contents, activities, and economic and social efficiency. However, the project needs to develop an upcoming plan, expand the model in depth, transfer to beneficiary units and households to receive, master the process, and widely apply it. Thereby helping to expand the project model, contributing to promoting the development of high-tech agricultural production, increasing people's income, developing the economy - society, stabilizing security and order, and protecting the environment for rural and mountainous areas in A Luoi district.
