• Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer Industrial Cluster: The driving force of U Minh Ha region
  • Finding solutions to attract investment and develop the Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer Industrial Cluster, Khanh An Industrial Park
  • Promoting the role of Ca Mau Gas - Power - Fertilizer Complex, making great contributions to the economy

On an area of over 200 hectares, with an investment of 2 billion USD, since its operation, the total revenue of Ca Mau Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer cluster has reached nearly 14 billion USD.

Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant has a capacity to process 6.2 million cubic meters of gas, producing 600 tons of LPG and 35 tons of condensate/day (200 thousand tons of LPG/year and 12 thousand tons of condensate/year).

The origin of the project cluster is the 325 km long gas pipeline project, phase 1 was put into operation in May 2007 and phase 2 in May 2008. Along with that, the Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant was completed in August 2015. The Ca Mau 1 Power Plant project was put into operation in March 2008 and the Ca Mau 2 Power Plant was put into operation in December 2020. In December 2012, the Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant with a capacity of 800 thousand tons of urea went into commercial operation. The puzzle completed the entire Ca Mau Gas - Power - Fertilizer cluster when the Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant was put into operation in May 2018.

Ca Mau Power Plant 1 and 2 had revenue of over 178,200 billion VND, paid over 4,450 billion VND to the State budget and implemented over 17.5 billion VND in local social security programs.

Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant with a capacity of 800,000 tons of granular urea/year is also the only domestic granular urea production plant in Vietnam at present.

Up to now, the project cluster has provided 29.55 billion m3 of gas; 118.96 billion kWh of electricity and 11.60 million tons of fertilizer to the market, contributing to ensuring energy security, national food security and product export.

Ca Mau Fertilizer plans to increase the design capacity of the urea plant by 125%, reaching about 1 million tons/year, when gas supply from Nam Du - U Minh and Khanh My - Dam Doi mines is provided.

Based on solutions to mobilize maximum electricity output according to gas supply capacity; expanding Ca Mau Power Plant 1 and 2 in the coming time, along with investing in neighboring gas fields: Khanh My - Dam Doi, Nam Du - U Minh, Hoa Mai; allocating to Ca Mau a part of the gas volume of Block B Project, Ca Mau Gas - Power - Fertilizer Industrial Cluster will continue to develop strongly and sustainably in the long term.

Production Control Center of Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant.

Since then, not only has it maintained its role as a pillar of the industry, but it has also contributed strongly to the period of double-digit growth of the locality and the country in the era of national development, making Ca Mau a bright spot, the southern leading region in integration and development.
