There are no more events today, and only the closing ceremony will take place in the evening. The torch at Morodok Techo Stadium will also be extinguished at the end of the closing ceremony, bringing to a close a memorable Games.
As before the opening ceremony, the organizers did not announce the content of the closing program.
The opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games on the evening of May 5 was highly appreciated for its elaborateness, on par with the Asian Games , with a duration of 150 minutes. The organizing committee even aimed for an opening ceremony of Olympic caliber, while the closing ceremony is not expected to receive as much attention. However, security will be tighter during the closing ceremony, for example, children under 10 years old will not be allowed to enter the stadium.
The official competition days of the 32nd SEA Games were from May 6 to May 16, but some events were held from April 29 due to the busy schedule. After the Games, Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian Olympic Committee, pointed out the successes such as the host team's historic fourth place overall, the large number of media reporters who came to cover the event, the host team's free accommodation and meals for the delegations, and the host female athlete Bou Samang who did not give up when she finished last in the heavy rain.
SEA Games 33 will take place in Thailand in December 2025.
