(CLO) The exhibition "Stories from Anti-War Badges" offers the public an authentic glimpse into the "war" within America to protest the Vietnam War.

On November 21st, the War Remnants Museum (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) held a thematic exhibition titled "Stories from Anti-War Badges".

The exhibition features 182 artifacts, images, and documents categorized into five groups: Anti-war badges of American students; Anti-war badges of organizations affiliated with the American Communist Party; Anti-war badges of American soldiers and the anti-conscription movement; Anti-war badges of political , social, and religious organizations; and Anti-war badges of the women's movement.

The stories in this thematic exhibition contribute to giving the public a realistic view of a "war" within America, parallel to the "actual war" taking place in Vietnam at that time.

Accordingly, the anti-war movement in the United States took many forms, the most common being the issuance and use of anti-war badges. Over time, these badges have become "witnesses," pieces of the puzzle in the struggle for peace , conscience, and justice taking place right here in America.

The exhibition also conveys a message of peace and friendship, a meaningful activity in the context of the increasingly improving and developing Vietnam-US relations in many fields.

Cultural exchange activities linked to reconciliation, healing, and overcoming the consequences of war have contributed to promoting and deepening the comprehensive relationship and cooperation between the two countries.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports , the story behind the anti-war badges is a fascinating, creative, and heartfelt topic. In particular, these anti-war badges carry a unique meaning, becoming symbols of the aspiration for peace, the voice of justice, and the demand to end the unjust war in Vietnam.

Through these badges, the profound and humane message of those who have always fought for peace and justice around the world will be felt, shared, and continue to be reflected upon and acted upon for a better world.

In addition to the images, documents, and artifacts displayed in the thematic exhibition, visitors will also have the opportunity to experience 3D scanning technology in the exhibition, preservation, and promotion of heritage values at the War Remnants Museum.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until March 2025.
