China releases free 'super software' for electronic warfare.

(CLO) Chinese scientists have released a powerful industrial software program for free that can be used to design electronic warfare weapons, and tests show it outperforms American products in both speed and memory usage.

According to the researchers involved in the project, this breakthrough is the result of 20 years of work that is largely unknown to the outside world . The software, called Yaoguang, is considered the world's most powerful electronic warfare weapon design system.

Yaoguang was developed by Professor Li Bin and his team at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. The software is particularly notable for its ability to perform rapid and efficient radiation simulation analyses.

While the well-known American industrial software, Ansys HFSS, required three hours to complete the task of simulating radiation on a multi-band antenna, Yaoguang took only 12 minutes. This not only saved time but also consumed less than one-sixth of the memory resources of the American software.

Ansys HFSS has become the industry standard for simulating full 3D electromagnetic fields, enabling engineers to design high-frequency, high-speed electronic components with high accuracy and powerful computational performance.

However, the emergence of Yaoguang marks a significant leap forward because the software is not only 15 times faster but also consumes fewer computing resources, facilitating the design and development of future electronic warfare weapons.

Yaoguang software has many important military applications, including the ability to analyze the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of electromagnetically launched aircraft carriers. Chinese researchers revealed that the software can provide a higher level of detail in analysis tasks while saving time, taking only one-third the time compared to American software.

Notably, Yaoguang has been released for free in the past few months, increasing its accessibility and usability in China and many other countries. Researchers suggest that instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars annually on similar products, users can choose Yaoguang, as it is not only free but also superior in many aspects.

Yaoguang also enjoys strong support in military and industrial applications in China. Experts argue that dependence on expensive Western products could cause China difficulties in the future, especially if access to such software may be restricted.
