(TNO) * I plan to major in journalism and communication. As far as I know, not all universities are allowed to offer journalism programs. So, could you tell me which universities are authorized to offer this major? (nguyenhoangtieucat11@gmail.com )

- Dr. Pham Tan Ha, Head of Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City): It is true that according to regulations, only a few universities are allowed to train in journalism and communication, and only public universities at the undergraduate level. For example: University of Social Sciences and Humanities Ho Chi Minh City, University of Social Sciences and Humanities Hanoi , Academy of Journalism and Communication, Hue University…

* I want to apply to two majors at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture: Architectural Engineering (Block V) and Graphic Design (Block H). If I get accepted, can I study both majors simultaneously? (hephong.phan191@gmail.com)

- Mr. Ninh Quang Thang, Head of Training Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture: According to regulations, you can study two majors simultaneously at the same university. Furthermore, with the current credit-based training system, students can more easily plan their studies. The issue is how you manage your time and abilities to keep up with the studies and complete the program. Studying two majors simultaneously will result in a rather demanding curriculum.

* Are priority points based on subject and region applied to all universities and colleges, or only some? After graduating from college, if I want to transfer to a university immediately, according to Circular 55 of the Ministry, I must participate in the university entrance exam, but will I also have to take additional transfer subjects according to the specific regulations of the university? (boyboy12384@gmail.com).

- Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Admissions Specialist, Representative Office of the Ministry of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City: According to the regulations on university and college entrance exams and admissions, priority points based on target groups and regions are applied to all universities and colleges. According to Circular 55 of the Ministry, if less than 36 months have passed since receiving your college diploma and you immediately apply for a university transfer program, you must take the university entrance exam as part of the regular program; you do not need to participate in the separate entrance exam of the university.
