The leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam is the decisive factor in all the victories of the Vietnamese revolution. For the Vietnam People's Army, the principle of absolute and direct Party leadership in all aspects not only has political significance but also serves as the foundation ensuring that the Army maintains its revolutionary nature and remains absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State, and the people.

Deeply committed to that viewpoint, throughout its development, combat, and growth, the Air Force Officer School has always steadfastly marched under the banner of the Party. All activities of the School, from defining training objectives, developing programs, organizing training, to managing and training students, are placed under the unified leadership of the Party Committee, ensuring adherence to political direction and fulfilling assigned tasks.

The commander of the Simulation Center assigned the task of preparing for the flight.

In the context of rapidly changing and complex global and regional situations, the strong development of science, technology, and military art, and the increasing demands for early and distant national defense, the task of training air force officers and technical personnel places increasingly comprehensive and stringent requirements on the issue.

In response to this requirement, the Air Force Officer School clearly stated: Innovation in education and training is essential, but innovation must firmly adhere to principles, closely follow practical realities, and aim for tangible results.

In implementing the resolutions and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Party Committee of the Air Defense - Air Force Command on education and training in military schools, the Air Force Officer School focuses on comprehensively reforming the curriculum, content, and training methods towards standardization, modernization, and relevance to combat realities.

Currently, the Air Force Officer School trains various groups, from military pilots, paratrooper and search and rescue officers, UAV officers, technical specialists, to international students from Laos and Cambodia. Each group has its own specific characteristics, requiring a rigorous and scientific training program that harmoniously combines political education, disciplinary training, and specialized technical training.

Along with specialized training, the school focuses on improving students' foreign language skills, considering this one of the important requirements for accessing and mastering modern military science and technology. The Foreign Language Center is organized and operates in an orderly manner, gradually improving the quality of teaching, contributing to equipping students with the necessary foreign language foundation to meet the requirements of studying, researching, and working in a modern military environment.

Based on practical training experience, the Party Committee of the Air Force Officer School has identified three key breakthroughs as the direction for leadership in carrying out tasks in 2026.

Firstly, continue to lead and direct the innovation and improvement of the quality of education and training; flight training, ensuring solid flight safety; and focus on training to master new technical equipment.

Secondly, to lead and direct efforts to improve the effectiveness of applying science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and administrative reform throughout the University.

Thirdly, we must continue to lead and direct efforts to improve the quality of formal training, discipline management, and safety assurance in all school activities. In line with this requirement, the departments, units, and faculties within the school have concretized this through resolutions and plans of their respective units and taken effective action.

These positive changes are also vividly reflected in the results of building the school's scientific staff.

The appointment of Comrade Bui Nhu Khue as the first Associate Professor of the School is not only a significant milestone in the training and development of cadres, but also affirms the correct direction in linking training, scientific research with practical training.

In recent years, the school has effectively utilized the roles of the Simulation Center and the Foreign Language Center, closely integrating simulation training and outdoor training, contributing to improving training quality, ensuring safety, and bridging the gap between school-based training and practical requirements and tasks.

The management and training of trainees at the trainee battalions are maintained strictly and systematically.

This environment directly shapes the character, sense of discipline, and professional conduct of the trainees. Through daily activities, studies, and training at the battalions, trainees gradually mature comprehensively, ready to receive and complete tasks after graduation.

The school emphasizes linking training with practical combat readiness at subordinate regiments. Through the learning and training process at these units, students gain practical experience, improve their coordination and cooperation skills, and handle situations closely aligned with mission requirements, creating a solid foundation for quickly integrating into the work environment after graduation.

To successfully fulfill its training mission in the new situation, the Air Force Officer School places special emphasis on building a strong team of officers and lecturers. This is a direct factor determining the quality of education and training. The school's officers and lecturers are constantly being strengthened and developed in terms of professional qualifications, political acumen, and work methods and style.

Many comrades both directly teach and participate in scientific research, improving teaching models, training equipment, and practically serving the training mission.

Party building has always been identified by the school as a key task.

Party organizations are regularly strengthened, improving their leadership capacity and combat effectiveness; the discipline of branch meetings is strictly maintained, closely linked to the central political tasks. Through this, the School maintains unity and cohesion; discipline and order are strengthened; and a healthy and formal military cultural environment is gradually built on a solid foundation.

Colonel Vu Hong Trung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Air Force Officer School, stated: “For the School, the quality of training is not a general concept, but is measured by the combat readiness of the units. Therefore, every stage of training, every training content must closely adhere to reality and mission requirements, ensuring that graduates can immediately begin their duties and successfully complete all assigned tasks.”

In the atmosphere leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, the officers, lecturers, and students of the Air Force Officer School continue to unite, innovate, and improve the quality of education and training, determined to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern force to firmly protect the skies of the Fatherland.
