Accordingly, Cu Khe Primary School has sent a notice to parents about reorganizing boarding meals for students from October 21.

The school said that in order for boarding activities of students to not be interrupted and for parents to feel secure in their work, from October 21, the school will continue to organize boarding meals provided by the food supplier TCT - a unit that has been assessed by the People's Committee of Binh Minh commune and meets food hygiene and safety conditions.

“Currently, the selection of a contractor to provide meals must follow the correct procedures, so from October 21 to October 24, the school will sign a temporary contract with a team of trained professional chefs, cooking in the school kitchen under the support and supervision of the People's Committee of Binh Minh Commune, the Department of Culture and Society , the Health Station and the Parents' Representative Board of each class. After the bid evaluation process is completed, the winning bidder will officially provide meals for boarding students. The school commits to ensuring food hygiene and safety according to regulations,” the school's announcement stated.

Sharing with VietNamNet , Ms. LP, a parent of a 3rd grader at Cu Khe Primary School, said that after receiving the school's latest notice about reorganizing the boarding meals, all parents of the class agreed to let their children return to school and register to eat at school on October 21.

Ms. N., a parent whose child is studying in grade 1A, said that after learning last night that the school had cleaned the kitchen, she decided to send her child back to school this morning.

Talking to VietNamNet on the morning of October 21, Mr. Nguyen Dang Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Minh Commune, said that this morning, the number of students attending school was 1,498 out of a total of 1,518 students, reaching a rate of 98.68%; the number of students registering for boarding meals was 1,423 out of 1,518 students, reaching a rate of 93.74%.

Accordingly, the new temporary food supplier for Cu Khe Primary School is TCT Food Production & Trading Company Limited (address 79, Thuong village, Binh Minh commune, Hanoi) - a unit that has been assessed by the People's Committee of Binh Minh commune and meets food hygiene and safety conditions. "The cooking of meals for students is done right in the school kitchen," said Mr. Viet, adding that under the supervision of the People's Committee, the Commune Health Station and parents' representatives, the organization of the school's boarding kitchen is carried out seriously, in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and safety of meals for students.

The People’s Committee of Binh Minh Commune has also directed Cu Khe Primary School to expedite the process to shorten the time to select a new supplier. “The spirit is to shorten the process as quickly as possible; about 1 week to provide meals to students soon,” said Mr. Viet.

Previously, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also requested the People's Committee of Binh Minh Commune to direct Cu Khe Primary School to continue organizing boarding meals, not to interrupt and affect the rights of students, and at the same time create peace of mind for parents when sending their children. In addition, the People's Committee of Binh Minh Commune was requested to inform the Department of the results of the inspection and the plan to stabilize boarding activities at Cu Khe Primary School for synthesis and reporting to the City People's Committee.
