Accordingly, Cu Khe Primary School has sent a notice to parents regarding the resumption of school lunch services for students starting from October 21st.

The school stated that, to ensure uninterrupted boarding services for students and to reassure parents while they are at work, from October 21st, the school will resume providing boarding meals supplied by a food company that has been assessed by the People's Committee of Binh Minh commune and meets the food safety and hygiene standards.

“Currently, the selection of meal providers must follow the correct procedures, so from October 21st to October 24th, the school will sign a temporary contract with a team of professional chefs who have been trained and will cook at the school's kitchen under the support and supervision of the People's Committee of Binh Minh Commune, the Department of Culture and Social Affairs , the Health Station, and the Parent Representatives of each class. After the bidding evaluation process is completed, the winning bidder will officially provide meals for students. The school commits to ensuring hygiene and food safety in accordance with regulations,” the school's announcement stated.

The principal of Cu Khe Primary School also expressed her hope for the understanding, support, and cooperation of parents.

Speaking to VietNamNet , Ms. LP, a parent whose child is in 3rd grade at Cu Khe Primary School, said that after receiving the latest announcement from the school about reorganizing the school lunch program, all parents in the class agreed to let their children return to school and register for meals at the school on October 21st.

Ms. N., a parent whose child is in class 1A, said that after learning last night that the school had cleaned the cafeteria, she decided to send her child back to school this morning.

Speaking with VietNamNet on the morning of October 21st, Mr. Nguyen Dang Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Minh commune, said that this morning, the number of students attending school was 1,498 out of a total of 1,518, reaching a rate of 98.68%; the number of students registered for the school lunch program was 1,423 out of 1,518, reaching a rate of 93.74%.

Accordingly, the temporary food supplier for Cu Khe Primary School is TCT Food Production & Trading Co., Ltd. (address: 79 Thuong Hamlet, Binh Minh Commune, Hanoi) - a unit that has been assessed by the Binh Minh Commune People's Committee and meets the food safety and hygiene requirements. "The cooking of meals for students is done right in the school's kitchen," Mr. Viet said, adding that under the supervision of the Commune People's Committee, the Commune Health Station, and parent representatives, the school's boarding kitchen is organized seriously and in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and safe meals for students.

The People's Committee of Binh Minh commune has also directed Cu Khe Primary School to expedite the process to shorten the time for selecting a new supplier. "The goal is to streamline the process as quickly as possible; about one week to provide meals for students as soon as possible," Mr. Viet said.

Previously, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also requested the People's Committee of Binh Minh commune to direct Cu Khe Primary School to continue organizing the school lunch program, ensuring that it does not disrupt or affect the rights of students, while also reassuring parents when sending their children to school. In addition, the Department requested the People's Committee of Binh Minh commune to inform the Department of Education and Training of the inspection results and the plan to stabilize the school lunch program at Cu Khe Primary School for compilation and reporting to the Hanoi People's Committee.
