Armenian boxer Arman Tsarukyan confirmed that he is ready for the title fight, even accepting one more fight if the UFC requests.
In an interview with ESPN, the No. 2 70kg boxer did not hide his desire: “I am waiting for Ilia. If the UFC wants me to fight again, I will do it right away, because I am ready and only need the belt. I want to fight in October or November, then go straight to the title fight.”
Tsarukyan also named potential opponents: Justin Gaethje, Paddy Pimblett and Dan Hooker. However, according to him, only Hooker is ready: “The rest are shy. They won't accept because they want to wait for the title fight.”
Not stopping there, Tsarukyan also sent a direct message to Topuria, claiming that the champion was trying to avoid it: “Topuria doesn’t want to fight me because he knows I’m the strongest fighter in this weight class and will cause him a lot of trouble. For him, meeting Paddy Pimblett is much easier to make money, so he chose that way.”
The heat increased when middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev also joined the fray, calling on Topuria to prove his class: “We need to know who is the best fighter in the world ”. Meanwhile, UFC President Dana White attracted attention when he revealed Conor McGregor's return date with a shocking statement: “He wants to fight right at the White House”.
As the UFC prepares for its big year-end event, the clash between Topuria and Tsarukyan is clearly the scenario fans are most looking forward to. One is a confident young champion, the other is a relentless challenger. If this match comes to fruition, it promises to be one of the most exciting fights the UFC has to offer.
