Often referred to by her nickname Big S, actress and singer Barbie Hsu started her career in 1994 when she was just 18 years old.
She was originally a member of the female duo SOS (with her younger sister Hsu Xi Di, also known as Xiao S). The group stopped working after a short time and was banned from using the name SOS again.
The two sisters formed a new group called ASOS, changing their field of activity from singing to TV hosting, and were successful with entertainment shows such as Guess, 100% Entertainment and Gourmet Secrets of the Stars.
