According to The Information , Apple has decided to indefinitely delay the launch of the iPhone Air 2, while Samsung has also canceled plans to release the Galaxy S26 Edge. Previously, the Galaxy S26 Edge was expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series early next year, while the second-generation iPhone Air was expected to be introduced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro in 2027.

The sad story of iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge

The Galaxy S25 Edge is just 5.8mm thick, while the iPhone Air is even thinner at 5.6mm. However, to achieve this thinness, both companies had to sacrifice camera and battery quality. Price is also a factor that turns users away from these products. The Galaxy S25 Edge costs $200 less than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while the iPhone Air is only $100 cheaper than the iPhone 17 Pro.
