The YouTube channel KingSener posted a video demonstrating how they upgraded the storage capacity of an iPhone 16 Pro from 128 GB to 1 TB.

First, KingSener disassembled the iPhone 16 Pro by removing the screws on either side of the USB-C port at the bottom. Then, they applied tape around the edges and used pure alcohol to dissolve the adhesive holding the rear glass to the side frame.

The next step is to remove the rear panel by using suction cups to attach the rear glass and pull it up. Continue by removing the cover containing the flash memory inside, as well as the wireless charging components. In addition to the cover, KingSener also removes the cables and screws connected to the components before disassembling each individual component.

Proceed to peel off the coating on the logic board located next to the battery. At this point, removing the 128 GB NAND flash memory attached to the logic board is done using a CNC machine because the NAND flash chip is bonded to the logic board with epoxy and will not easily come loose due to heat.

The pads used for soldering chips onto the circuit board are now visible. The task at hand is to remove any dirt from the surface of the pads and clean them.

After the pad has been cleaned, the next step is to install the new 1TB NAND flash memory before performing the BIOS and memory update procedures on the motherboard using specific techniques until the new memory is properly installed. The final step is to reassemble the motherboard.

KingSener connected the modified iPhone 16 Pro to the MacBook to proceed with the iOS installation. KingSener checked the storage capacity of this product by going to Settings > General > About, where the internal memory was displayed as 1.02 TB.

To assess the "achievements," KingSener used the AnTuTu benchmark tool to evaluate and record improved read and write speeds, with the overall score increasing from 51,398 to 81,701, with 1 TB of storage in the center of the screen and 128 GB of memory on the right.
