Lai Chau province is organizing the Lai Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2024 in Da Nang city with the theme "Returning to the majestic mountain peaks of Lai Chau".
On the afternoon of November 22nd, the People's Committee of Lai Chau province organized the Lai Chau Tourism Promotion Conference 2024 in Da Nang city. The conference was attended by Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration.
Information presented at the conference indicated that the Lai Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2024 in Da Nang City, themed "Returning to the majestic peaks of Lai Chau," will take place from November 22nd to 24th with many activities including cultural exchanges and performances (Xoe dance, Sap dance, Khen dance, demonstrations of traditional crafts, etc.); exhibitions and introductions of tourism, OCOP products, and beautiful tourism photos of Lai Chau.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Tran Quang Khang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province, introduced the potential, strengths, natural beauty, mountains and forests, cultural identity, and people of Lai Chau. He also expressed hope that travel businesses would gain more information about destinations and services in Lai Chau to develop tour programs that connect and exchange tourists between the two localities as soon as possible.
Mr. Khang pledged that Lai Chau will always create favorable conditions, provide support, and share resources with travel businesses in the process of building and implementing tour programs and tourism activities in the locality with the goal of "businesses prosper - Lai Chau develops".
At the conference, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province, leaders of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city, and the Tourism Associations of the two localities signed a Memorandum of Agreement on cooperation in tourism development.
On the evening of the same day, the opening ceremony of the Lai Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2024, themed "Returning to the majestic peaks of Lai Chau," took place at the park on the northern bank of the eastern side of the Dragon Bridge on the Han River, with the participation of artisans, artists, and amateur actors from community tourism villages in Lai Chau province.
