Traditional Tet holiday - returning to our roots.
What is something we are most proud of? Many things. It's family and loved ones; it's fame and career; it's marital happiness... However, wherever we are, in our homeland, we cannot forget the traditions and history of our nation. A rice-farming culture, imprinted for 4,000 years, nurtures indomitable souls that flow along the heroic river of our nation. From the dynasties of Trieu, Dinh, Ly, Tran, and Le, generations have built the independence of our land.
Over the past thousand years, once dormant landmarks have come alive again, thanks to the care and preservation of later generations, adorned with new attire. In the Mekong Delta, An Giang province is no less impressive. The name Tuc Dup Hill – a glorious landmark – has long been deeply ingrained in the minds of the people of the Bay Nui region as an enduring symbol.
The dawn of spring has arrived.
As a crucial part of the joyous reunification of the country 50 years ago, Tuc Dup endured bombing raids worthy of being called the " Dien Bien Phu in the air of the Mekong Delta" for 128 days and nights. The power of nature and the indomitable spirit of the people of An Giang have created a majestic and imposing Tuc Dup, embracing heroes and paving the way for a pure and honest dawn the next day.

Everything has faded into the past. From that day until today, countless scars have blurred beneath the lush green foliage covering the entire hillside, mingled with the fragrant blossoms of a hundred different colors, welcoming the new spring. A new year of peace and happiness.
In an era where history is an indispensable part of development, many modern young people almost always include time to visit historical sites in their long-term travel plans every spring. For example, during recent Tet holidays, young men and women, dressed in elegant traditional ao dai, have flocked to Tuc Dup Hill to explore, take photos, and pose with smiles on their faces.
Year of the Dragon
Tuc Dup Hill is truly breathtakingly beautiful, a verdant expanse stretching from its base to its windswept slopes and up to its summit. The grass and trees are lush, the flowers murmuring as they prepare to burst into bloom at the beginning of the year. Standing anywhere, inside or outside, the spring breeze and the dappled sunlight fill the frame, creating a scene that is both ethereal and warm, instilling a sense of peace and tranquility.

A wave of emotion washes over me whenever I look back at the images and artifacts that recreate the heroic journey of the past, listening to stories from soldiers or veteran revolutionaries who once faced life and death together, bringing those vivid moments back to life. Standing here, I can see the entire surrounding hill, now a well-planned tourist spot, as if no trace of the war had ever been seen.

We have touched the spirit of Tuc Dup.
In the year of the dragon, 2024, Tuc Dup is brimming with new vitality, allowing it to integrate into the Vietnamese history, becoming increasingly deeply ingrained in the hearts of every person as an inherent instinct, igniting the heroic spirit of Lac Hong.
