The Provincial Youth Union commended exemplary young people who followed President Ho Chi Minh's teachings and outstanding Youth Union officials in 2026.

According to Comrade Tran Tri Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style have been implemented by all levels of the Youth Union in the province through many creative methods, suitable to each locality, unit, and group of Youth Union members and young people. The content of studying and emulating Uncle Ho has been integrated into the work programs of the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Children's Union through many practical activities such as the political campaign "Remembering Uncle Ho makes our hearts brighter," "Remembering the Testament - Following in Uncle Ho's footsteps"; forums, competitions, activities to historical sites, journeys to red addresses… Propaganda and education work has been reformed to be more accessible and modern, increasing the application of information technology and social media platforms. Through these activities, over 356,000 Youth Union members and young people have been educated; contributing to building a generation of young people who live with ideals, responsibility, compassion, and a desire to contribute.

In the "Vinh Long Youth Pioneering in the New Era" movement, youth union branches at all levels have implemented numerous youth projects and activities linked to political tasks and the practical needs of the locality. From building bridges and rural roads, lighting projects in the countryside, to social welfare activities and supporting people's access to digital technology , the youth of the province have always demonstrated the spirit of "wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it."

In 2025, youth union branches at all levels implemented 108 provincial-level youth projects and over 9,300 grassroots-level projects; built 58 rural bridges; constructed and repaired 95km of roads and 46km of rural road lighting projects. Youth "digital teams" also operated effectively, assisting over 170,000 people in accessing digital technology and using online public services.

The Youth Union continues to support young people in their studies, personal development, and career building through career counseling, startup capital support, and the replication of youth-led economic development models. The "Supporting Students to School" program, last year, awarded over 10,000 scholarships and more than 30,000 gifts to support disadvantaged students, providing them with further motivation to excel in their studies.

The work of nurturing outstanding Youth Union members for Party membership has also been emphasized. Through various activities, Youth Union branches at all levels have recommended more than 5,400 outstanding Youth Union members for the Party to consider for admission; of which more than 4,300 comrades have had the honor of joining the Party. “Every cadre, Youth Union member, and young person always considers Uncle Ho's thoughts, ethics, and style as a guiding principle to learn from and emulate; constantly cultivating a sense of responsibility, a will to overcome difficulties, a spirit of solidarity, and a desire to contribute,” emphasized Comrade Tran Tri Cuong.

Through studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, an increasing number of exemplary young people have emerged, performing simple yet meaningful acts that contribute to spreading positive values ​​in the community.

The youth of Vinh Long are demonstrating a spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and creativity through many concrete actions.

Lieutenant Doan Minh Luan, Secretary of the Commune Police Youth Union and Deputy Secretary of the Song Phu Commune Youth Union, is one of those exemplary figures. In his work, he always upholds a high sense of responsibility, is dedicated to serving the people, stays close to the people, and promptly resolves their legitimate issues. He actively participates in social welfare activities, assists in providing electronic identification to citizens; and coordinates the management and education of delinquent youth and those serving criminal sentences in the community. His "Small Plan" model of collecting scrap materials to raise funds for the Youth Union also contributes to raising environmental awareness among Youth Union members and young people.

“I always seriously study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, and constantly strive to improve my political acumen, moral character, and sense of responsibility in my work,” shared Senior Lieutenant Doan Minh Luan.

In the academic environment, Nguyen Mai Thao, a student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics branch in Vinh Long, is a prime example of excellence in academics, scientific research, and volunteer activities.

Mai Thảo has always prioritized her studies as a key task for self-improvement and development. In 2025, she achieved excellent academic results and had two research projects that won A prizes at the "UEH Mekong Young Researcher" competition. Beyond her academic achievements, Mai Thảo actively participated in summer volunteer programs, teaching English for free to students and donating blood.

"I will continue to study and follow Uncle Ho's teachings through concrete actions, living more responsibly towards myself and the community; striving to contribute my youthful energy to building a more developed homeland," Mai Thảo expressed.

As one of the "beautiful flowers" in the garden of following Uncle Ho's teachings, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Huyen - Secretary of the Youth Union of Huynh Van Loi Primary School (Hieu Phung commune) - believes that learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings is not something grand, but begins with small actions every day such as living responsibly, being compassionate, knowing how to share, and putting the collective interest above personal interest.

According to Ms. Huyen, learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example is a long journey, requiring each young person to overcome their own reluctance to face difficulties and hardships; at the same time, they must promote the role of setting an example and spreading positive spirit to the youth union members around them.

"Youth is only truly beautiful when it is lived a meaningful life. The title of 'Outstanding Youth' is a motivation to continue striving and contributing more to our homeland," Ms. Huyen shared.

Comrade Tran Tri Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, stated that in the coming period, all levels of the Youth Union will continue to effectively implement the thematic study on learning and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh; focusing on effectively carrying out three contents: learning from Uncle Ho, following Uncle Ho, and setting an example for Youth Union officials. At the same time, they will promote the campaign "Building the Model Values ​​of Vinh Long Youth in the New Era," concretizing the values ​​of "pure heart," "bright mind," and "great ambition" into criteria suitable for each locality and unit; and continue to build a strong Youth Union organization, worthy of being a reliable reserve force of the Party.
