On the morning of September 28th, at Sub-district 149B, Ward 7, Da Lat City, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union organized a tree planting and reforestation campaign in response to the high-intensity emulation campaign "The Party Committee, government, military and people of Lam Dong province unite, determined to overcome difficulties and rise together with the country" in 2024.

Mr. Ndu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, delivered a speech launching the tree planting and reforestation campaign.

Attending the launching ceremony were representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Da Lat City People's Committee, and more than 500 youth union members and young people from Da Lat city.

Delegates, along with more than 500 youth union members and young people in Da Lat City, participated in the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the tree planting and reforestation program, Mr. Ndu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, said: In recent times, along with promoting many emulation movements in various fields, the Youth Union and Youth Association branches at all levels in the province have actively organized many activities to plant and care for trees to green barren hills, create natural landscapes, protect the environment, and respond to climate change.

Through activities such as Green Sunday, Volunteer Saturday, the peak day for jointly building new rural areas, the Tree Planting Festival in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, and the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, the movement to plant and care for trees has spread and become a beautiful cultural feature among union members, young people, and the general public.

The Provincial Youth Union Secretary urged all levels of the Youth Union and Youth Association, every official, civil servant, and youth member to continue enthusiastically participating in tree planting and reforestation; everyone should plant trees, every household should plant trees, and every tree planted should thrive; and to continue raising awareness and implementing effective measures to protect forests, prevent deforestation, forest fires, and illegal logging. This will contribute to the successful implementation of the 50 million tree planting program in Lam Dong province, in accordance with the spirit of the Provincial People's Committee.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, all delegates and youth union members participated in planting 2,000 trees in Sub-area 149B. This activity also served as a celebration for the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Lam Dong Province, term 2024-2029, which will take place in October.
